Star Wars References on ABC’s Once Upon a Time

ABC's Once Upon a Time

ABC’s Once Upon a Time is known for sneaking several Disney references, including Tron’s Space Paranoids and Marvel comic books. Since the acquisition of Lucasfilm in November 2012, some Star Wars references have also popped up in the hit Sunday night series. One of the first references truly caught everyone by surprise in the form of a ringtone (Season 2, Episode 12: In the Name of the Brother).

During the Once Upon a Time panel at PaleyFest 2013 during the weekend, it was expressed that the ringtone was intentional.

The ABC series became one of the first Disney properties to tap the company’s new relationship with Lucasfilm when it used the Star Wars theme as a character’s ringtone. That wasn’t necessarily a hint at plans for Once to tap a galaxy far, far away as a future new land. “We love Star Wars but we’re not going to Endor… yet”, quipped Horowitz. (Source)

Last night, we saw a second reference from a very iconic scene from the Star Wars franchise. Let’s see if you can spot it:
