Star Wars: Episode VII director, producer and writer J.J. Abrams shared a special message with fans straight from the Abu Dhabi set of the sequel film. After being kindly interrupted by the local alien life, Abrams informed fans that we have the chance to win a visit to the set of Episode VII in London’s Pinewood Studios and be filmed in a scene for the movie. By entering a chance to win, your donation will support UNICEF’s Innovation Labs and various programs aimed to help children in need. The charitable initiative from Disney and Lucasfilm in collaboration with Bad Robot is known as Star Wars: Force for Change, a campaign created to raise funds and spread awareness for UNICEF.
By pledging as little as $10 through the Omaze fundraising platform, supporters will be automatically entered for a chance to win this unique and memorable experience. The campaign ends on July 18th.
The grand prize of the Star Wars: Force for Change initiative includes:
- Airfare and accommodations to London for one winner and a guest
- Behind-the-scenes access on the closed set of Star Wars: Episode VII as VIP guests of J.J. Abrams
- The opportunity to meet members of the cast
- Being transformed by makeup and costume teams into a Star Wars character and film ed for a scene in Star Wars: Episode VII

Many thanks to Disney committing $1 million to support the launch of Star Wars: Force for Change which will benefit UNICEF’s Innovation Labs and innovative projects.
As with any movie, not every scene filmed is completely guaranteed to make the final cut. However, the Star Wars production team will take every measure to ensure that your scene makes it into the movie.
I know times are hard for a lot of people, so if you can’t donate at this moment, worry not! I’m sure you’ll be a force for good once things pan out for you. Until then, you can submit a free entry by sending a postcard to PO Box 3190, 1217 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, California 90408 or submitting a free entry online.
The elderly individual who interrupted J.J. Abrams does look familiar. Could this sweet merchant be Cosian, like Tera Sinube from Star Wars: The Clone Wars? Leave your thoughts in the comments section.
