Her Universe at Woodbridge Center Mall’s F.Y.E.

Ashley Eckstein

Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the creator of Her Universe, attended the re-opening of entertainment media store F.Y.E. (For Your Entertainment) at the Woodbridge Center Mall in New Jersey this past weekend. To kick things off, Ashley helped judge an in-store Cosplay Contest, where a variety of contestants demonstrated their cosplaying talents. Ashley herself appeared in the beautifully designed Darth Vader Japanese dress.

Since I live in New York City, I hopped on a New Jersey transit train and made my way over to support. There, I met up with fellow fangirl Megan Crouse of Blog Full of Words. We had a spectacular time, and following the event, Megan and I talked with Ashley about all things fandom and Her Universe. I also had the opportunity to pass on my Ahsoka Tano Tooka doll, which I created to celebrate the six year anniversary of the 2008 feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars!

If you live in the New Jersey area, visit F.Y.E. to check out the Her Universe section. There, you’ll find a mixture of Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, and Star Wars items!

If you haven’t done so already, make sure to follow Ashley on Twitter, sign up for the Her Universe Newsletter to receive the latest updates, and like her Facebook page.

Also, please nominate a fellow fangirl (or yourself) in Her Universe’s Year of the Fangirl initiative!
