The wait is nearly over! Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on November 11, 2014. After the cancellation of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the TCW team worked hard to bring us the last 13 episodes of season six, entitled The Lost Missions.

The sixth season premiered March 7, 2014, on Netflix. The episodes include:

  • The Unknown
  • Conspiracy
  • Fugitive
  • Orders
  • An Old Friend
  • The Rise of Clovis
  • Crisis at the Heart
  • The Disappeared: Pt. I
  • The Disappeared: Pt. II
  • The Lost One
  • Voices
  • Destiny
  • Sacrifice

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions Blu-ray CoverSynopsis: In these eagerly anticipated episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, some of the deepest mysteries of the conflict between the light and the dark sides of the Force are revealed. An intrepid clone trooper discovers a shocking secret, Anakin Skywalker’s closest relationship is tested to its limits, and what Master Yoda discovers while investigating the disappearance of a Jedi could forever change the balance of power in the galaxy.

The 2-disc Blu-ray version of The Lost Missions includes additional bonus content, such as:

  • A never-before-seen 16-minute documentary covering all six seasons, and
  • Four additional story reels from “The Lost Missions” season (Blu-ray only)

We recently saw four new story reels (unfinished material) from the Crystal Crisis on Utapau arc as part of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Legacy project, featuring Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The details about the Blu-ray do not specify if the four additional story reels are brand new or the recently released Utapau arc. If the former, I hope the additional reels are from the bounty hunter arc with Boba Fett and Cad Bane. If the latter, I look forward to re-watching the arc along with the entire batch of episodes from The Lost Missions.

UPDATE: Andrew H. on Twitter pointed out that the Walmart description of the Blu-ray discs includes the four story reels from the Utapau arc. Looks like I’ll be doing the latter option!
