  1. Yay! I think ‘Space Married’ is the perfect description of Hera & Kanan’s relationship!

  2. Another great episode! I really enjoyed your discussion on Code Names. What is interesting to me is that Hera has two Code Names; Specter 2 and Ghost. I think you were both right that Kanan has the Specter 1 Code Name because he is ‘on the ground’ for missions more often. I think that when the ‘away team’ goes on missions (either alone, in pairs or as a whole) and calls back to Hera for updates, using the Ghost Code Name, illustrates that Hera’s true Code Name is Ghost and that Specter 2 is her secondary Code Name that is used when she’s actually out on missions.

As for Kanan / Hera romance… *oh lord* I think that the Rebel’s story team is having a *lot* of fun teasing the audience with this. Personally, I do not think they yet have a romantic / physical relationship but instead have a very emotionally and mentally intimate bond. While I do see that they could develop a more physical relationship (and obviously in A New Dawn a romantic connection is heavily hinted at), it is obvious to me that the show’s creative team really enjoys playing with audience expectations in this regard while not making a definitive statement one way or the other. I also think Kanan and Hera’s playful / deep relationship is very akin to depictions of Fathers / Mothers in wider culture and so reinforces the idea that they are a romantic couple. At the end of the day, I don’t think these two characters have figured out exactly what the contours of their relationship are.

Lastly, I agree that Ezra has the potential to be a more powerful Force User than Kanan but I am very unsure on what the future will bring and how this will all play out.

Anyway, keep being awesome and may the Force continue to be with you.

    • Thanks for listening again, Ken! We appreciate the fact that you tune in and comment with your thoughts! ^_^

I agree that the creators really love teasing the audience with that relationship, haha! Realistically, I don’t see them going anywhere. When it comes to the realm of fanfiction and headcanons, I’m all for whatever others come up with!

Episode 4 will come out soon! Stay tuned!
