TWG also has a new podcast on the way! Galactic Fashion will be a monthly 20-30 minute interview-based podcast about Star Wars fashion. Its tentative premiere date is Friday, August 28, 2015. Stay tuned for more information.

From August 17 through August 23, fans will be celebrating the women of Star Wars in an event called the “Women of Star Wars Appreciation Week”. Visit the event’s Tumblr site for more information.

The Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit will be coming to New York in November 2015. It looks like it may debut on November 14, 2015 and will remain open through September 5, 2016, according to the Smithsonian Institution’s Traveling Exhibition Service. A big announcement will be made soon.

Star Wars Rebels will be joining the eighth wave of starship expansions for X-wing Miniatures Game! According to Fantasy Flight Games, “Soon, you’ll be able to add even more of this drama to your games by sparking your own rebellion against the Galactic Empire with the Ghost Expansion Pack. Hera Syndulla, Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, and the other heroes ofStar Wars Rebels make their X-Wing debut, along with their two signature starships, the Ghost and Phantom!”

Comics and Books

Created by’s Catrina Dennis, Mos Eisley Underground will be a hub for fans of Star Wars comic books. She recently announced a new podcast, “Hangin’ with Team Kanan”, an all-new Star Wars Rebels discussion podcast with Catrina, Bleeding Cool’s Jeremy Konrad, and me! Listen to the first episode here. And make sure to listen to the latest Mos Eisley Comic Port with the same group of fans as they discuss Kanan: The Last Padawan #4.


Artist Ingo Römling will be at this year’s German Comic Con in December 2015! Römling is one of two artists for the Star Wars Rebels comic in the official Rebels German/UK magazines.

Instagram user Sean Regalado (@Goreilla) created a sculpt of a Jedi Lurmen character based on Star Wars: The Clone Wars concept art and Tee Watt Kaa. Sadly, George Coe, the actor who voiced Tee Watt Kaa, passed away on July 18, 2015.

    That BB-8 cake is so cute! I’d be sad to eat it, ha!
    I’ve seen that Darth Vader dress at D-Street at Downtown Disney before. They rotate products quite often though so I’m not sure if it’s still there. It’s definitely on my wish list.
