Force Friday is almost here! A variety of brand new Star Wars products will go on sale starting September 4, 2015, in celebration of the highly anticipated sequel film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If your interests are in geek fashion and accessories, here’s where to shop when the day finally arrives.
COVERGIRL and Lucasfilm joined forces to create a limited edition Star Wars make-up collection. Although the products won’t physically appear on shelves until mid-September, you will be able to purchase them online over at the official COVERGIRL site. In the meantime, visit the COVERGIRL Star Wars Tumblr for a chance to win the mascaras and stay tuned for the next dark/light side make-up look reveal on September 30, 2015.
Exciting new items will be coming to Fifth Sun, an officially licensed graphic tees and apparel company. Make sure to visit their online shop for more.
Announced on Wednesday, September 2, Her Universe will also be participating on Force Friday. In past interviews, Ashley Eckstein talked about how she and the designing team have been working on Star Wars: The Force Awakens clothing. I wonder if we’ll see any of those new items added to the online shop, and if not, perhaps we’ll see a Force Friday sale! Stay tuned for more information.
“We’ll show you what’s inside these boxes on 9/4,” Hot Topic wrote across social media earlier this week, sharing a video along with the message. While we wait, make sure to browse through the current selection of Star Wars products, since they’re currently 20 percent off with the SCHOOL code.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores
For the Star Wars fan who likes to construct clothes and other items from scratch, Jo-Ann Stores will have a new selection of Star Wars products arriving online and in stores on Force Friday. Their clock is currently counting down to the big day, and in the meantime, you can check out their current selection of fabrics and products, including the brand new Star Wars Vintage Posters Fleece, Star Wars Characters White Cotton Fabric, and Star Wars Danger Fleece.
Although not expressed as Force Friday products, Loungefly has also been teasing new Star Wars products coming to their website in the fall, so stay tuned for more information. UPDATE: Loungefly will be releasing Force Friday related products, check out The Kessel Runway for more details.
PacSun will be releasing its second Star Wars clothing collection. The Star Wars x On the Byas collection will be available online and in stores, and it will include “crafted prints and unique fabrications”, such as the lightsaber print hooded sweatshirt as seen above. (h/t Yakface.com)
SuperHeroStuff.com sells a variety of geek items, including t-shirts and dresses. I actually bought my Jedi Cowl Dress from them recently! New and official merchandise will be made available on September 4, and if you sign up for their Star Wars product alerts, you will be entered to win $1000 in prizes, including a Crossguard Saber from Ultra Sabers.
Add Kohl’s and We Love Fine to the list. Did I miss anyone? Make sure to include them in the comments below. As we get closer to September 4, I’ll keep updating this post with more retailers and sale specials. What are you looking forward to buying on Force Friday?
