As part of the “Force 4 Fashion” initiative recently announced between Bloomingdale’s and Lucasfilm, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens displays are now available for viewing at Bloomingdale’s flagship store on Third Avenue in New York City. The windows are decorated with costumes, props, and sets from the movie. Don’t wait too long to see them, though. On December 3, Bloomingdale’s will change the displays out and replace them with the ten designs created for charity. Read more about the initiative and find out how you can contribute.
(Note: The following captions contain details about the movie that may be spoilery for some readers.)
Jakku: A distant desert world in the remote Western Reaches of the Galaxy, Jakku is sparsely settled, and the site of a massive graveyard of crashed starships from the Galactic Civil War.
Takodana: A world of lakes and forests, Takodana has been a haven for shady spacers for centuries.
Millennium Falcon: An extensively modified Corellian light freighter, the Millennium Falcon is a legend in smuggler circles and is coveted by many for being the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.
Starkiller Base: An ice planet converted into a stronghold of the First Order and armed with a fiercely destructive new weapon capable of destroying entire star systems.
Starkiller Base, Forest: Stretches of untouched wilderness cover the ice planet that houses the Starkiller weapon.
