Ezra Continues the Search For His Parents in “Legacy”

Star Wars Rebels, "Legacy" Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus

That lingering question that’s been sitting on our minds will finally take center stage in the next all-new episode of Star Wars Rebels. What happened to Ezra’s parents? Last we saw, Tseebo had revealed some information regarding Mira and Ephraim Bridger to Hera, and she was going to tell Ezra, but Kanan interrupted her and told her that he needed some space. There have been many opportunities since then, but Hera has kept quiet. Did she exchange the information with Kanan? Have they both been keeping Ezra in the dark for his own good? Or is this another example of Hera withholding vital information from the rest of the group?

Actor Taylor Gray previously mentioned that this particular storyline involving Ezra’s parents will affect him in a significant way.

“This whole story with his parents has been looming over him. He’s accomplished a lot over the course of the first season and has found his own family with the rebel group,” he said in an interview with TV Insider. “The one question that’s still unanswered for his is: What happened to his parents?” According to Gray, that answer “will determine what Ezra’s fate is.”

In Rebels Recon‘s preview of the episode, we saw Ezra have another vision of the future. (It’s interesting to note that those come easily to him, since we haven’t seen Kanan have any Force visions.) Both clips bring other questions to mind. Are his parents, in fact, alive? If so, is Mira Bridger aware that she has a Force sensitive child? Ezra continues to hear her voice calling out to him as if she somehow knows that his abilities will allow him to hear her from a distance. Or is that all a product of his own mind? I have so many questions!

“Legacy” airs on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 9:30PM EST on Disney XD.
