“For everyone waiting on Star Wars Rebels news, thank you for your patience!” wrote Lucasfilm Publicist Tracy Cannobio on Twitter. “It will be rewarded next week with so much awesome info.”
Fans will be getting a brand-new trailer for the remaining half of the popular Disney XD animated series, presumably edited by Kevin Yost, as hinted by Tracy in a separate tweet to Freddie Prinze, Jr., the voice of Kanan Jarrus.
In a recent Twitch stream (around 12:30), Freddie revealed that the trailer will be over three minutes long. He also went on to say, “I did some podcasts in the beginning of the season, and I talked about some of the legend characters they discuss–legend characters being characters established in either of the first two trilogies or in The Clone Wars cartoon. We’ve got a lot of them and they reveal almost all of them. And for all of you who’ve been wanting that Ahsoka/Vader battle, they show more than I think they should even show, to be honest. You get a ton of that interaction, you get a taste of the action, and you get to see a bit of that physical contact.”
Speaking of classic characters, we might see a certain princess in the upcoming new episode that might air on January 20, 2016 (pending official confirmation from Lucasfilm later this week). A cable listing revealed that the next episode will be called “A Princess on Lothal”, and although no description related to the episode was provided, fans instantly thought of Princess Leia. She is, after all, the same age as Ezra and her father, Bail Organa, is part of the rebellion, so it’d be interesting to see the Ghost crew interact with his daughter.
Fans of the Star Wars Rebels: Strike Missions online game discovered the name of the new Mandalorian character who will play a part in Sabine’s storyline. Known as Fenn Rau, this might be the character who will be voiced by actor Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy, Rome). The episode’s rumored title is “The Protector of Concord Dawn”, according to Jedi-Bibliothek.
