  2. The psychedelic color cycling for me had been associated with “forced to drop out of hyperspace” (ref. Gathering Forces and Stealth Strike)

Which in this episode… did not happen. But considering that the Ghost experienced a “Hyperdrive Failure” as it approached the Space Anomaly (I decoded the aurebesh on the console), the fact that the Ghost was led not only to go through the Space Anomaly, but also through one of the largest ‘swirlies’ … a very strong indication that Ashla / The Force had some hand.

So, not only Ashla kept the integrity of the Ghost (consider that the smaller TIE Fighters got reduced to small tiles, and the Imperial Cruiser started to peel and strain, even while still farther), but Ashla also kept the integrity of the hyperspace tunnel itself.

(I wrote a long-ish meta of this on my pep-no blog on Tumblr)

So Ashla — in this episode, at least — was the physical manifestation of The Force. Implementing itself as yellow arcs of lightning that somehow can steer a ship and input a course for the ship’s hyperdrive.

    Hmmm… yellow…

  3. Cool episode. I like the way the prophecy was presented. Hondo is awesome as always :)
