New Episode Descriptions
There are new descriptions for the upcoming episodes of Star Wars Rebels, according to Disney XD Press. Season two keeps getting better and better as we continue to explore the backstories of each character and what motivates them. In the next three episodes, it looks like we’ll further explore Ezra’s Force abilities as well as Hera’s familial ties. Plus, Zeb and Agent Kallus end up in an Enemy Mine situation that will undoubtedly lead to an interesting episode.
Episode 215: “The Call” (Air date: February 10, 2016)
While on a mission to obtain fuel for the rebel fleet, the crew works to protect space creatures from the Techno Union asteroid mining operation that threatens the creatures’ lives.
Episode 216: “Homecoming” (Air date: February 17, 2016)
The rebels contact freedom fighter Cham Syndulla, who needs help to fight off the Imperial bombing attack on his planet. While coordinating a plan to overtake and steal the carrier that houses these Imperial bombers, the rebels discover that Cham may have a plan of his own.
Episode 217: “The Honorable Ones” (Air date: February, 24, 2016)
Zeb and Agent Kallus find themselves stranded on an ice planet after a failed Imperial ambush of the rebels. With Kallus injured from the escape pod crash, he and Zeb must work together to survive the harsh conditions.
Star Wars Rebels Funko POP!
On January 29, Funko opened itself up to fan questions on Twitter. One Star Wars fan asked, “Is there a possibility for an Ahsoka Tano POP? I want her so much!”
A few minutes later, Funko replied by saying, “Hopefully, when we do the Rebels line!”
This immediately caught the attention of Star Wars Rebels fans everywhere, since the members of the Ghost crew have yet to be included in any of the Funko POP! Star Wars lines.
Another Star Wars fan asked, “What Star Wars POP! vinyls are you hoping to plan next?”
Funko wrote, “Hoping? Ahsoka. More Rey. Padme. Dooku. Snoke!”
Here’s hoping more news about the Star Wars Rebels Funko POP! vinyl figures comes up at Toy Fair 2016 in New York City this week.
Princess Leia Action Figure
On January 20, USA Today gave fans a first look at the new Leia Organa action figure based on her appearance in Star Wars Rebels. The 3.75-inch action figure from Hasbro will arrive in stores this fall.
Dave Filoni’s Loth-cats
Last month, in preparation for the premiere of the mid-season two trailer and the return of Star Wars Rebels, executive producer and supervising director Dave Filoni shared two Loth-cat drawings with the fans. They’re simply adorable!
Captain Rex Action Figure
The Star Wars Rebels 3.75-inch Captain Rex action figure is gradually appearing on toy shelves. Corey over at First Order Transmissions managed to find a few at his location and posted an 11-minute review of the figure.
