Following the epic season two finale of Star Wars Rebels, the Nerdist announced that fans will be getting a new Ahsoka Tano novel by E.K. Johnston from Disney Lucasfilm Press later this year.

Ahsoka Tano, fan favorite character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, will be the star of her own young adult novel from Disney Lucasfilm Press this October 11, 2016! Fans have long wondered what happened to Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order near the end of the Clone Wars, and before she re-appeared as the mysterious Rebel operative Fulcrum in Rebels. Finally, her story will begin to be told. Following her experiences with the Jedi and the devastation of Order 66, Ahsoka is unsure she can be part of a larger whole ever again. But her desire to fight the evils of the Empire and protect those who need it will lead her right to Bail Organa, and the Rebel Alliance….

Ashley Eckstein also received great news at WonderCon. She became Saber Guild’s newest honorary member, for her voice work as Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Also featured in the photo is Sal Perales of the Rogue Rebels (on the left). He was recently a guest on Rebels Chat and wrote a great post regarding the second season of Star Wars Rebels.

Ashley also worked on a new Star Wars and UNICEF USA project with a group that also included our favorite grumpy droid, Chopper.

Lisa Granshaw at Blastr explains why Ahsoka Tano is one of the most important characters ever created for Star Wars.

Scott Mendelson at Forbes looks at how Star Wars Rebels enriches and improves upon what we’ve seen in the Star Wars films.

Catrina Dennis at looks back through the past two seasons of Star Wars Rebels and picks out Ezra Bridger’s five greatest uses of the Force, while Pixel Dan Eardley brings us the latest Toy Empire column featuring Star Wars Rebels action figures.

Rumor was spreading that Star Wars Rebels was going to end with season three, but Pablo Hidalgo and Freddie Prinze, Jr., (in podcast appearances) have both stated that there’s not weight to the rumor. (So continue supporting the show as normal.)

Disney XD recently uploaded the Golden Wolf ident that originally appeared back in December on Vimeo.

Since the last Rebels Roundup, Dave Filoni released two more pieces of art. The first featured Ahsoka visiting a mysterious planet and the second was done in support of the new Rogue One teaser trailer.

Finally, there was a Star Wars Rebels wrap party that involved bowling and a cake dedicated to the final moments of Ahsoka.

Jenn Fujikawa made Hera’s grocery list a reality in the latest batch of recipes over at The Star Wars Rebels themed treats include Meiloorun Melon Drinks, Jogan Fruit cupcakes, and more!

From left to right: First Order Pod recently received a custom Zare Leonis figure. It was originally created last year and you can read more about it here. Grace used her embroidery skills and made an emotional piece featuring a Jedi Temple Guard mask and Kanan’s words to Hera prior to him leaving for Malachor. Amy Ratcliffe created an Ahsoka Tano themed tissue box in preparation for the season two finale. Lastly, Ksenia Z. (also known as lorna-ka) uploaded various new drawings to Redbubble, so if you’re looking for new Star Wars Rebels inspired merchandise, visit her shop today.

The Star Wars Rebels cast (Taylor Gray, Ashley Eckstein) and creative team (Simon Kinberg, Dave Filoni) participated in a Q&A at the Walt Disney Studios Main Theatre in Burbank, California. Hosted by Amy Ratcliffe, the press conference can be found on YouTube. From this press Q&A came the articles by Peter Sciretta at /Film regarding Rex’s “appearance” in Return of the Jedi and the Grand Inquisitor’s backstory.

Star Wars Underworld interviewed Ashley Eckstein at WonderCon regarding her character’s fate in Star Wars Rebels. Ashley also made an appearance at Emerald City Comicon, where she spoke about her character at the Ahsoka Tano panel hosted by E. Anne Convery. Outer Places captured Ashley’s thoughts on Ahsoka’s fate, while Pop Goes the World summarizes other parts of the panel. Ashley was also interviewed by Dan Brooks over at regarding her journey as the voice for Ahsoka Tano.

Eric Goldman at IGN spoke to Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Ashley Eckstein about the season two finale prior to its airing. He also spoke to Filoni in-depth following the end of the season. Filoni was also interviewed by Germain Lussier at io9 and Lussier also wrote about how Sabine will have an expanded role in season three. Filoni also sat down with blogger Craig Yoshihara of Disney Nerds for a two-part interview (part one and part two). And finally, Filoni was a guest in RebelForce Radio’s April 8, 2016, episode. RFR also had guests Ashley Eckstein and Sam Witwer for their April 1, 2016, episode.

First Order Transmissions spoke with Philip Anthony-Rodriguez (Fifth Brother) as well as Freddie Prinze, Jr., and Taylor Gray. Freddie Prinze, Jr., also appeared in episode 66 of Podcast 66 and in Collider Jedi Council with Sam Witwer. Taylor Gray was also a guest in Twin Suns Transmission and episode 54 of Force Cult. Vanessa Marshall joined the season finale discussion with The Star Wars Report in episode 117 and episode 161 of Full of Sith. The Super Awesome Geek Show also interviewed Ashley Eckstein about Ahsoka and what she geeks out about.

The cast and Dave Filoni were also briefly interviewed prior to the press screening of the season two finale by the Disney Infinity Toy Box in episode 114. Emma Fyffe at AfterBuzz TV spoke to the cast at the same event and you can watch the playlist of interviews at YouTube. Finally, Inside the Magic also conducted a series of red carpet interviews at the press screening.
