New ‘Star Wars’ Bag Collection from SHAG and HARVEYS

An exciting new collaboration is coming to the Disneyland Resort! The Disney Parks Blog recently laid out the merchandise events calendar for May 2016 and it includes a special appearance by SHAG on May 21 from 3-5 PM.

His latest colorful piece of work, entitled “A Wretched Hive”, is inspired by the cantina scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, and the art will be featured on various pieces of merchandise, including apparel, home decor, and much more. SHAG also joined forces with Dana and Melanie Harvey, the creators of the iconic seatbelt bag and brand HARVEYS, to bring a special bag collection which also features the aforementioned piece of art. The collection includes the Medium Streamline Tote (center), the Hip Pack (right), and Billfold (left).

The artist signing and meet-up will take place at the WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District in California. Guests will be able to purchase merchandise at the time of the event. There’s no current information as to whether this collection will be available online or at the Shop Disney Parks app. To read more about the event, visit Disney Theme Park Merchandise.

Thanks to Nikki A. for bringing this to TWG’s attention. Nikki wrote a guest post last year regarding the Star Wars announcements at D23 and attended the Her Universe Fashion Show 2016 open call at the Hot Topic located at Hollywood & Highland in California.
