‘Star Wars Rebels’ October 2016 Roundup


  • The second season soundtrack of Star Wars Rebels is available on iTunes and Amazon.
  • The first episode of the Salt Lake Comic Con podcast features a discussion around the adventures of Ahsoka Tano. The Director of Programming for Salt Lake Comic Con, Ryan Call, talks about the creation of the panel which featured Bryan Young, E.K. Johnston, Pablo Hidalgo, and Amy Ratcliffe.   • Big Shiny Robot reported that Dave Filoni is no longer the Supervising Director of Star Wars Rebels. That job title has fallen onto Justin Ridge, who previously worked as an episodic director on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Filoni now oversees all of Lucasfilm Animation projects.
  • Jedi-Bibliothek provided the next four episode titles in season three:
    • 3×07: “Imperial Super Commandos” (November 5, 2016)
    • 3×08: “Iron Squadron” (November 19, 2016)
    • 3×09: “The Wynkahthu job” (November 26, 2016)
  • Designed by 100soft, the Star Wars app recently added new Rebels season three emoji characters.

  • According to past #AskFunko conversations on Twitter, a Captain Rex Funko Pop! has been planned.
  • The Sabine Wren and Ahsoka Tano Hallmark itty bittys debuted at New York Comic Con 2016, and I asked someone at the booth regarding their released. They stated that the two will be released in May 2017 as a .com exclusive. I asked if more #StarWarsRebels itty bittys will be released and they said that that’s all they have right now (pictured below).
  • has new images of the Star Wars: Black Series Sabine Wren 6-inch figure (pictured below).
  • Scheduled to arrive later this year is Sabine’s TIE Fighter Expansion Pack from Fantasy Flight Games. It will arrive along with the rest of the X-Wing Wave X starship expansions (pictured below).
