Previews of the ‘Star Wars’ Po-Zu Collection: Part Two

Earlier this year, TWG rounded up the first two previews from the brand new Po-Zu footwear collection inspired by the characters of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Since then, Po-Zu unveiled three new previews, two of which come in different colors, providing a variety of options to its customers.

“Beyond the association with Star Wars, the models are very commercial,” said Sven Segal, the brand’s founder, in an interview with Footwear Plus Magazine. “We achieved a good balance between something that is inspired by a film yet incredibly wearable. It’s a winning formula.”

The Chewie Boot

If you’ve always wanted to wear a pair of Chewbacca inspired boots, then you’re in luck because Po-Zu’s Star Wars footwear collection will include a pair dedicated to lovable Wookiee.

Chewbacca was also the source of inspiration for a pair of Irregular Choice boots back when the collection was released in October 2015. These new boots, however, truly capture the Wookiee look.

The Chewie boots are vegan, made with faux fur as well as Po-Zu’s shock-absorbing coconut fibre Foot-Mattress and natural latex sole. Perfect for the winter, they can be worn with a skinny pair of jeans or leggings and an oversized sweater.

While they’re not available in men’s sizes, they will be made available for women and children, and like the rest of the collection, the boots will go on sale in August later this year.

The Finn Boot

Joining Rey, Poe, and Chewbacca in the collection is the Finn boot in not just one but three colors!

The colors include white (as seen with his Stormtrooper uniform), classic black, and distressed metallic bronze. Other features include the protective padding, an inside zipper, a removable memory-foam Foot-Mattress in latex and cork, and a high performance natural rubber sole.

The classic black is my favorite out of the three, but the original announcement didn’t state whether these were for women and/or men, so here’s hoping the boot is available in both sizes when August comes around.

The Poe Dameron Boot

Earlier this year, Po-Zu unveiled the Resistance Sneaker, but if you’re looking for something more rugged, the Poe Dameron boot, inspired by his commander boots from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, are the way to go, especially if you’re battling it out with the First Order.

The mid-calf men’s boot comes in two colors: chocolate brown and black.

The pair are made with chrome-free leather and feature an adjustable Velcro fastening, an inside zipper for a more comfortable fit, a high performance natural rubber sole, and a removable memory-foam Foot-Mattress in latex and cork.

The only unfortunate thing is that the pair comes only in men’s sizes. I know plenty of women who want this pair, including myself. So ladies, if you really want these boots for yourself, make sure you know your size in men’s shoes.

Pre-orders for the collection will be available in the spring, but the shoes will officially be released to the public later in August. In the meantime, make sure to follow Po-Zu on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
