‘Forces of Destiny’ Short #4: The Padawan Path

The choices we make. The actions we take. Moments, both big and small, shape us into forces of destiny.

Ahsoka lives! The fan favorite character returns in the latest Forces of Destiny short, where she receives another set of silka beads to add onto her Padawan braid.

In a rush to attend a private ceremony being held by Anakin Skywalker and Master Yoda, Ahsoka stops midway when she hears a cry for help. She isn’t one to be selfish and ignore it, so she does what she does best. With swift ease, she takes down the malfunctioning droid and saves the mother and child from being harmed.

Part of me, however, wishes the story was that she didn’t resort to fighting, and instead, jumped onto the droid to try and fix it. After all, not everything can be solved with the swing of a lightsaber.

Still, she demonstrated great maturity, something that I’ve always admired about her character.

While the other shorts gave us something to smile about, this one made the heart heavier, especially since we know that Ahsoka won’t remain on the path of the Jedi.
