‘Star Wars Rebels’ Season Four Poster and 401-406 Episode Descriptions

Earlier this week, Lucasfilm and Disney revealed the official key art poster of Star Wars Rebels season four on social media and at StarWars.com.

The poster includes the Ghost crew and a few other key players that will appear this season, including Grand Admiral Thrawn, Arihnda Pryce, and the white Loth-wolf from the season four trailers. Additionally, we see Lothal City under Imperial attack at the bottom, while a star chart sits at the top.

The star map is a nice touch, especially since we’ve seen variations of them before in the show. There was the star map that Kanan had summoned from his holocron as well as the star map that appeared above Ezra when he was being questioned by Yoda in season one. The most recent use of a star map happened during the season three finale when Thrawn used an ancient star chart to determine the location of Atollon.

Ezra’s nursery rhyme (“Loth-rat, Loth-cat, Loth-wolf, run. Pick a path and all is done.”) also appears to be present in the art. I suspect the small creature with the lines radiating from it (near the top of the poster) is a Loth-rat. There’s also a simplified outline of a Loth-cat nearby (next to Pryce). And of course, the Loth-wolf sits in the middle of the poster between Thrawn and Pryce.

The Loth-wolf with the glowing eyes reinforces some of the previous points that executive producer Dave Filoni presented at Fan Expo Canada earlier in this month and that is that the Loth-wolf (like the Bendu) is a manifestation of the Force on Lothal.

At the end of the day, while many (including myself) have been reading into the art and trying to find clues as to what will happen in the upcoming season, it’s important to remember that only a handful of people know the ending to the series, so the art isn’t going to give away any hints.

Fans will also be delighted to know that the Disney ABC Press website has been updated to include the first 6 episode titles and descriptions. While this information has surfaced through other channels in the past weeks, it’s also great to see an official update with accurate information.

  1. I looooooooove this poster. It’s a super intense space-family portrait!

I love that all of the Ghost crew has equal presence, and I hope that’s indicative of the rest of the season. I also really appreciate that Governor Pryce is on equal compositional footing with Thrawn.
