  1. It is a bit unfair that Ezra is punished more for bending orders while Sabine is given the benefit of the doubt.

I do recall there were some complaints for Ahsoka when she willfully disobeyed direct orders, but it was part of the growing process, and fans grew with her to accept the flaws.

It may take a little longer for fans to overcome judging Ezra on those flaws, but I think eventually they will see him grow from the mistakes, and he will learn from them much like Ahsoka did

  2. Well, I did write my thoughts about “whose story is this?” in Tumblr… to summarize: Yes, I agree that SWR is Ezra’s story, but through his eyes, through his experience we also see the Story of Caleb/Kanan unfolding. As Ma had said, their fate, their destiny is intertwined.

Also, some responses & thoughts after listening to the podcast:

    1. Filoni had practically said, in an interview, that the loth-wolf is “balanced” between good & evil… a “nature” Force. Kinda like Bendu. (I once drew a triangle diagram showing three poles of the Force: Light, Dark, and Nature). To me, this means that Kanan will be pulled even more strongly toward “the middle”, as the loth-wolf seems to be ‘fixated’ (of sorts) with Caleb Dume.

    2. The flash to white had happened in at least three other episodes: At the end of “Twilight of the Apprentice”, before & after Kanan’s knighting in “Shrouds of Darkness”, and in “Holocrons of Fate”. In all three, Kanan was featured prominently. And even more significant IMO is Kanan’s words in “Holocrons of Fate”: I can see them. To me all these indicate that there will be a significant ‘escalation’ of Kanan.

    3. Finally, I don’t believe Kanan will die per se. His character story had been SO well-developed that I just can’t see them discarding all those effort by killing him. That does not mean, though, that Kanan won’t be “removed” from the Rebellion, e.g. by “ascending” or something like that.

Aaanyways, REALLY enjoyed this Rebels Chat episode! Thanks for producing this!
