Her Universe released a 20-piece Star Wars activewear collection in partnership with Kohl’s earlier this month. Like the Marvel and DC collections that came before, the Star Wars collection comes with a range of apparel, including leggings, tees, sweatshirts, and jackets.

Lastly, I think it’s important as consumers to voice our opinions and critiques because that’s how brands can improve moving forward. While I love the neutral and muted colors, I don’t think the collection is as detailed or impressive as Her Universe’s past activewear collections. In my head, I was expecting bold colors, unique designs, unexpected Star Wars sayings, and clever graphics. Unfortunately, most of that is not present in this collection. For example, out of the 4 leggings, 2 of them are black and the embossed detailing gets lost because of it. Also, the camouflage print, while a popular theme in clothing, is not something that I tend to associate with Star Wars. It’s great to see that the print includes the Millennium Falcon and the Rebel Alliance symbol, but it would have been more interesting had the camouflage splotches been morphed into X-wings, Y-wings, the Death Star, etc. While the Marvel and DC collections have items that are inspired by characters, most of the Star Wars collection is not inspired by Star Wars characters. Without that focus, the clothes just fell off to the generic side. Some fans are super happy with this collection, so I’m happy that this hit the spot for them. Unfortunately, this collection doesn’t do that for me. And even if it did, I’d run into a problem with their sizing. I have a 41-42″ bust size. Since Kohl’s runs on junior sizing, I don’t fit into their XL or 1X sizes because one is too small and the other is too big. All that said, I’m happy that Star Wars is finally getting its own activewear collection for women. It’s just going to be some time before I get anything for myself.
