The Ghost crew is on a mission to save the past and redeem the future in “Wolves and a Door” and “A World Between Worlds,” airing on Monday, February 26.

In the back-to-back episodes, Ezra leads the Ghost crew back to the Jedi Temple on Lothal, where they discover that the Empire has diabolical plans for the powerful secrets it holds. And while the other rebels engage the Imperial forces outside the Jedi Temple, Ezra gains access inside and experiences a stunning revelation.

New Clips and Promos

The latest episode of Rebels Recon gave us a sneak peek of “Wolves and a Door.” In it, Ezra contacts the Loth-wolves in order to carry out their next mission.

And in a separate clip from the Star Wars YouTube Channel, Ezra and the team mount the Loth-wolves, since these creatures will be their main method of transportation to the Jedi Temple. What follows is some of the best storytelling in the series, and in my opinion, all of Star Wars. Since I had the pleasure of watching the episodes at a special Lucasfilm screening, I won’t say much about them. I will say, however, that these episodes introduce some amazing concepts, and if you’re a fan of the Force and its mysterious ways, then these episodes are going to blow your mind.

I am also excited to see Hera finally using her goggles! I remember that was something a lot of fans wanted to see her use as early as season one. As the classic saying goes, better late than never!

  1. Well Wookies, I find the endorsement heartening.
Perhaps I should qualify my previous statement regarding Kanan with the perspective that the character didn’t complete his story. I can find no valid purpose for the revisiting of the name Dume. The manner in which this name was highlighted in the story certainly suggested a deeper significance than merely coming clean about a name change. Unless something remarkable occurs, this entire arc is left unfinished, and if this is the case, then it’s pretty unsatisfying to this fan.
I would love to follow a deeper exploration into the Force, one which would open possibilities rather than closing them down. The beauty of this would also be a challenge, because instead of direct cause and effect mechanics, it could move the Force into that which is Mystery Itself.
I don’t know what would be more fitting than that.
Evidently, we are about to realize what the Sith intend for the temple, and how our young Padawan fits into it all. Perhaps too this will chart the course for the remaining episodes.
Thrawn’s starfighter project is his first real defeat, and perhaps his brightly painted bodyguard will be another. Hopefully, there will be some attempt to draw Asoka into the mix, perhaps as the Owl.
I’m hoping that there is more to the story than simply killing most of the characters, and frying Lothal into ash.
We will see what the next episodes bring.
