Forces of Destiny will return with 8 brand new episodes on Monday, March 19, featuring a variety of heroes from across the Star Wars saga.
The all-new adventures will debut at 10:00am PST on Disney’s YouTube Channel, and they will also air in a television special on the Disney Channel on March 25 at 9:50pm ET/PT immediately after the broadcast premiere of Zootopia.
After the announcement, many took to social media to share their excitement.
“A lot of great moments in this upcoming batch of Forces of Destiny shorts, but the performances in this one are my favorite,” Lucasfilm’s Leland Chee wrote on Twitter. “It’s amazing how much humor, action, emotion and character development you can cram into just 2-3 minutes.”
Ashley Eckstein wrote, “You’re gonna want to watch the next new episode of Forces of Destiny. The gang’s back together and it’s just like old times.” She also shared a photo of herself with Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker) and Catherine Taber (Padmé Amidala) when they came together for the recording session.
Forces of Destiny writer Jennifer Muro said, “Thank you to Matt Lanter, Ashley Eckstein, and Catherine Taber for doing amazing job on this upcoming episode of Forces of Destiny that people are going to flip their lid over. You 3 are a pleasure to write for.”
Muro also wrote, “Writing for Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker on Dagobah in Empire Strikes Back? Cook me, I’m done.” And in a separate tweet from the same thread, she added, “There’s some other crazy reveals that go down in a bunch of these episodes. Some of you ain’t even ready.”
