‘Star Wars’ Animation Roundup: April 2018

Every month, TWG gathers the latest news, interviews, fan creations, and other updates pertaining to the Star Wars animated shows (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, Forces of Destiny, and Star Wars Resistance).

General

  • Disney XD announced on their social media that all four seasons of Star Wars Rebels are available on iTunes.
  • Gentle Giant Ltd. premier guild members had the opportunity to vote in a Pick-A-Bust poll, and according to Rebel Transmissions, Ahsoka Tano won the poll. Stay tuned for more details regarding the future production of the Ahsoka Tano bust.
  • Issue #180 of the Star Wars Insider (published April 18) includes a brief article of the Star Wars Rebels fan-made poster coordinated by Michael Pasquale (read more about the poster here) and an interview with Dave Filoni about the final season of Rebels.
  • Composer David Glen Russell released the cues he wrote for the Star Wars Rebels episode “A Fool’s Hope.” Listen to the cues here.
  • LEGO fans can now add a Pyke to their LEGO minifig collection. Quay Tolsite is part of Solo: A Star Wars Story and the LEGO website has a closer look at the new minifig. The Pykes made their first appearance in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode “Eminence.”
  • The Star Wars ComLINKS topic for the month of April is favorite episode from season two of Forces of Destiny. Visit AAHA for more information on how to participate.
  • Celebrate 10 years of Lucasfilm Animation with TheForce.net by sending them an email with some of your favorite characters, episodes, and moments from the animated shows. Visit TheForce.net for more information.
  • A new Star Wars animated series was announced on April 26, Star Wars Resistance. Visit StarWars.com for the official announcement and TWG’s article for additional information.

      Hello! If by episodes you mean the movies, sorry, but that’s not my focus here. My focus is on the animated shows, and I’ve included plenty of fan-made content in relation to the animated shows. Hope that cleared things up.
