The cast and creative team behind Solo: A Star Wars Story gathered together on Thursday, May 10, for the world premiere of the highly anticipated film in Los Angeles.
Many other familiar faces appeared on the red carpet, including the executive producer and supervising director of Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni.
The Star Wars Show‘s Andi Gutierrez started the brief interview by asking him about the recently announced animated series, Star Wars Resistance. He couldn’t say much about it, but he did express his enthusiasm for the new project by talking about the look of the show.
“I’m really excited about it. I think the team is doing a great job. It’s one of the most exciting styles that we’ve done look-wise. It really harkens back to a lot of the animation I grew up watching look-wise and style-wise. I think Justin [Ridge], Athena [Portillo], and Brandon [Auman] have done a great job bringing it to life, so I’m really excited for everyone to see what they’re doing.”
Andi had also asked him whether he had participated in the development of Solo, but he dodged the question by saying that he couldn’t talk about anything that he’s involved in, so it’s quite possible that he and his team made some sort of contribution similar to how he designed Luke Skywalker’s compass in Battlefront 2 and The Last Jedi.
