The StarWars.com Databank has a vast collection of entries that describe characters, locations, creatures, and all sorts of details pertaining to the Star Wars universe.
The latest batch of new entries features some of the characters from the upcoming animated series, Star Wars Resistance. As we get closer to its premiere in October, more entries will become available in the Databank.
Until then, here are the first five entries.
Confident and skilled in the cockpit of a New Republic X-wing fighter, Kaz’s new assignment as a spy for the Resistance leaves him feeling out of his element. Now living on the independent fueling station known as the Colossus, Kaz is doing his best to fit in as a mechanic so he can carry out his mission.
As originally suspected, Kaz is a X-wing pilot for the New Republic. He’s described as confident and skilled in that area, but he’s not so great with the spying part of his mission. I’m curious to find out why Poe specifically chose him for a mission of this nature. Was he chosen because Poe sees potential in Kaz? Or is there another reason at play?
A tough and hardworking mechanic on the Colossus platform, Tam Ryvora is an inventive and skilled technician who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She has big dreams of one day becoming a pilot and racer.
Tam sounds like she’s a Resistance fighter at heart, but it’s great to know that she has her own goals and aspirations. I wonder if she’ll pursue those over time or whether any exposure to the First Order throughout the course of the series will change her mind on what she wants in life.
Bright and optimistic, Neeku is a trustworthy and kind-hearted member of the Colossus community. He speaks honestly and takes everyone quite literally, sometimes making what he has to say unintentionally hilarious. But despite his quirks, Neeku’s logical way of thinking makes him one of the best mechanics on the platform.
Neeku’s personality makes him endearing, but has that always been the case with him or is that a result of the device he wears on his head? We’ve seen characters, like Tseebo and Lobot, wear devices on their heads that end up trading personality for productivity. Is that where Neeku gets his logical way of thinking?
Jarek Yeager runs a repair shop on the Colossus refueling station, enjoying the solitude of being far from the central systems of the galaxy. He is quiet, hardworking, and wise, having experienced much in his lifetime.
Like Kanan Jarrus before him, I look forward to learning more about Jarek’s past. Besides wanting to live a peaceful life at his older age, is there another reason why he hasn’t joined the Resistance? Will he become a mentor of some kind to Kaz and eventually join the cause?
A battered, decrepit old droid addled by outdated, glitching programming, Bucket has been Jarek Yeager’s loyal astromech for years. Despite the droid’s eccentric behavior, Bucket is a capable mechanic.
When it comes to droid personalities, R2-D2 is more like a dog and Chopper comes across more like a cat. It’ll be interesting to find out what sort of personality Bucket possesses in addition to being eccentric.
Stay tuned for more Star Wars Resistance entries in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to explore the StarWars.com Databank for more information.
Star Wars Resistance will premiere on Sunday, October 7, at 10pm ET/PT on the Disney Channel and Disney NOW.
