As the premiere of Star Wars Resistance approaches, catch up and familiarize yourself with these newly released StarWars.com Databank entries.
The first handful of Resistance entries went up earlier this month and highlighted Team Fireball. The latest batch features the ace pilots of the Colossus as well as the modified ships they fly as both protectors and racers.
A daring pilot at the Colossus station with a sense of flair and competitiveness, Torra Doza has the combined energy of a hotshot Ace and a fifteen-year old. She is the daughter of the station operator, Captain Imanuel Doza, and lives in the station’s upper levels.
Torra’s bubbly and caring personality is something I adore and identify with. Along with Neeku, I believe she’s definitely going to be a fan-favorite character, especially in the younger age groups.
The top racer of the Aces that defend the Colossus platform, Hype Fazon lives up to his flashy name with his exceptional piloting skills. Hype relishes being the center of attention, as it fuels his bravado and enormous ego.
I’m impressed his big head fits inside the cockpit! We know Hype has a big ego, but I look forward to the moments when he puts the ego aside and works as part of a team.
One of the Aces that flies defense for the Colossus platform, Griff Halloran flies an extensively modified TIE-based racer that emphasizes raw power. No one is quite certain whether or not Griff is a veteran of the Imperial Navy, or whether he just flies old Imperial colors to intimidate his opponents.
That’s a fascinating detail. Is he pretending to be an ex-Imperial? Or is he the real deal and has a history with the Imperial Navy? If the latter, I’m also interested to see how he and Yeager interact with each other, since they both served on opposite sides of the war.
One of the Aces dedicated to protecting the Colossus platform, Freya stands apart from the rest of the boisterous crew with a personality that is both coolly methodical and calculating. She transforms her icy precision into blazing hot flight maneuvers, and her ship also stands out with its fiery red finish.
Freya seems like the lone wolf type, which fits nicely since her surname means wolf. The other characters are easy to read and gather a sense of what their past was like, but she is a closed book. It’ll be interesting to find out more about what makes her cold and calculating.
A soft-spoken Kel Dor pilot, Bo Keevil prefers to let the daredevil maneuvers of his lightning-fast yellow racer do the talking for him. A superb and confident pilot, he is part of the Aces squadron that defends the Colossus platform.
A “soft-spoken” pilot? Those words imply that he does talk from time to time. It’s an amusing trait, especially since he’s bold and daring when it comes to his flying.
