A new Star Wars animated show is literally days away from debuting on Disney XD YouTube and DisneyNOW, and we couldn’t be more excited!
LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars is an adventure series that features stories and LEGO versions of some of our favorite heroes and villains from across all Star Wars eras, including Kylo Ren, R2-D2, Young Han Solo, Chewbacca, BB-8, Rose Tico, and more.
All-Stars is comprised of 8 animated shorts and 4 half-hour episodes. The first 5 shorts will arrive daily starting on Monday, October 29, through Friday, November 2. On Saturday, November 10, all 8 shorts will be featured in a compilation special at 11:00 a.m. EST/PST.
Then, 4 half-hour episodes will premiere on Saturdays, November 17 – December 8, at 11:00 a.m. EST/PST on Disney XD and DisneyNOW.
Produced by Wil Film, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm, the series was developed for television by the creative minds behind LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, Bill Motz and Bob Roth, and executive producers Jill Wilfert and Erik Wilstrup.
Will Star Wars Rebels characters also be included in the mix? Even though we didn’t spot any in the trailer, “all Star Wars eras” implies we might see some Rebels characters pop up throughout the series.
Others are also curious about whether there’ll be a continuation to The Freemaker Adventures. Roth wrote on Twitter, “The Freemaker Adventures have indeed run their course. But… it’s all one saga, right? Fans of the Freemakers will definitely want to see All-Stars.”
In fact, we saw two fan-favorite characters in the trailer and in the official All-Stars poster. Graballa and R0-GR (Roger) will be joining the adventure, but we’ll have to wait and see if other familiar faces will appear in the story.
