Get ready to throw your imaginary confetti in the air because Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy is finally on sale!
We purchased the book back at New York Comic Con earlier this October, and we’ve been in love with it ever since. Mostly everyone we know is getting a copy, but if you’re on the fence about it for whatever reason, we’re here to tell you it’s a must-have book for any Star Wars fan.
Here are 3 reasons why we think you should get this book either as a gift to yourself or someone you know.
The Gorgeous Art
We’re not exaggerating when we say the art is out of this world. The book will make you want to put on white archival gloves so as to not leave fingerprints and smudges across the pages.
Eighteen different artists worked on this book, so in addition to high quality and vibrant pages, you’re exposed to unique styles and different interpretations of each character. You’ll be tempted to buy at least 2 copies: one for the coffee table and another to cut out the drawings and display on the walls.
The Various Characters
Women of the Galaxy contains profiles of 75 different female characters—75 women who are more than just heroes and villains. They are mothers, daughters, sisters, and fierce queens of our hearts.
While some fans follow every bit of Star Wars storytelling, others may not be caught up on the television shows, comic books, novels, or video games. This book provides a great introduction to characters from different parts of the galaxy and timeline you may have missed over the years.
The Wonderful Author
Amy Ratcliffe is one of those gems in the geek community who never ceases to amaze. Not only is she a wonderful Star Wars fan, but she’s now part of the lineup of amazing women who’ve contributed to the world of Star Wars books. That alone is a remarkable accomplishment to celebrate.
As Star Wars fans, we should support each other and buying Amy’s first book is the perfect way to do it.
If you enter TWG’s giveaway, you could win an autographed copy of the book and a signed Leia print.
