Her Universe’s Star Wars Celebration collection and schedule

Star Wars Celebration wouldn’t be the same without Her Universe dropping a brand-new collection inspired by some of our favorite characters in the saga.

Last week, StarWars.com gave fans a preview of what will debut online and at the event on April 11. This year, the collection’s theme is “Sisters of the Force,” a phrase Ashley Eckstein was originally considering when trying to come up with a name for her clothing company.

In a conversation with Ashley, we learned the name came in conflict with the Nightsisters content from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, so she moved on from it and settled on Her Universe. Now, she’s brought the name back in hopes of honoring the powerful women of Star Wars.

“Sisters of the Force never took off, but it was always kind of my name for the female Star Wars community,” she told StarWars.com. “Whether it’s the characters, whether it’s the fans, whether it’s the women who work on Star Wars, there are all of these strong women who bring Star Wars to life. And while my dream with Her Universe, from day one, has been to spread the message that Star Wars is for everyone, I wanted to shine the spotlight on the women of Star Wars with this collection.”

From Leia to Ahsoka, the capsule collection at Star Wars Celebration Chicago will include shirts, sweatshirts, dresses, and much more.

Here are some of the pieces in the collection pertaining to the Star Wars animated shows:

Logo Tee

The back of this logo shirt has the quote “Never give up hope, no matter how dark things seem” from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode “The Wrong Jedi,” featuring Ahsoka’s arc and her departure from the Jedi Order.

“To me, Star Wars means hope. That is what it has meant to me personally for years as a Star Wars fan. And Ahsoka is a survivor. Ahsoka lives and Ahsoka means hope to me,” Eckstein told StarWars.com.

Tano Sweatshirt

Daniel Kennedy, Event Coordinator at Lucasfilm, designed a unisex pullover inspired by Ahsoka Tano’s iconic lekku marks and color scheme.

Ahsoka Windbreaker

As revealed previously in Eckstein’s personal Instagram, the Ahsoka windbreaker was designed with extra room in the hood for those fans wanting to wear a Togruta headpiece.

“Not only is it a nod to Ahsoka but also kind of a nod to cosplayers,” said Eckstein.

Sabine Moto Jacket

A moto jacket dedicated to Sabine’s season one armor is also part of the collection. It would have been great to have a design inspired by her armor from the later seasons, but Eckstein stated, “For most fans that’s the most recognizable.” The back panel also features a design inspired by her helmet.

Hera Pullover

Eckstein reached out to Vanessa Marshall, the voice of Hera Syndulla, and came away with one of Marshall’s favorite Hera quotes, “We have hope.”

Constellation

Since Her Universe couldn’t make a piece inspired by every Star Wars woman we’ve come to know and love, she reached out to artist Ashley Taylor and gave her a list of women to include in one design. The star map includes 27 characters from across the galaxy, including women from Star Wars Resistance, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and fans have the option of purchasing the design as a shirt or pullover.

Regarding other parts of the collection, here are other details from Eckstein’s recent Instagram live stream:

  • The collection will go on sale at Star Wars Celebration and online on April 11.
  • The Her Universe Booth (#2723) will be outside the Celebration Store, and it will have its own Photo Booth and fitting room. There won’t be any cupcakes this year.
  • There will be a pair of Star Wars flats featuring Rebel Alliance and Imperial symbols.
  • There will be 1,000 signed Ahsoka Tano Funko Pop! figures at the Her Universe Booth.
