3 reasons why you should support Planetside Anthology on Kickstarter

Every once in a while, TWG branches outside of the Star Wars animated shows to highlight incredible projects made by Star Wars fans just like you.

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on a sci-fi anthology that isn’t your average sci-fi anthology. Not only does it bring something new to the table, but it might inspire you to see the galaxy in a different way or motivate you to get started on your own project.

Here are 3 reasons why we think you should support Planetside: A Sci-Fi Slice of Life Comic Anthology on Kickstarter:

The Concept

Planetside promises to tell the stories of characters living outside of galactic conflict — people who are just trying to live their everyday lives in these grand sci-fi settings. Regardless of the television show or movie, have you ever thought about how other characters are living their lives in other parts of the galaxy?

“What about everyone else?” is the kind of question this anthology tackles.

The Amazing Contributors

Edited by Thea Ferrara, a transgender independent comic writer based in New York City, the book will be co-designed with her partner and Grammy-winning graphic designer, Annie Stoll.

The anthology itself pulls in the talent of 44 creative contributors and contains 28 separate stories that take a closer look at these slices of life across the galaxy.

“AUDRA’S COMET” by Emily Cheeseman

“Saudade” by Andy Bennett

“DEAR BILLIE,” by Josh Cornillon

The Rewards

Not only will the stories serve to entertain, but they will include plenty of awesome swag when you support the project. Here’s what some of the rewards consist of:

  • 3-inch holographic sticker by Nate Bear
  • 2-inch enamel pin by Grace Teoh
  • 4 x 6 postcards by Sonia Liao, Will Quinn, Sam Beck, and Deandra Tan
  • 12 x 18 fold-out poster by CJ Walker

What are you waiting for? Go support this project today and help spread the word!
